What is lip blushing?

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips’ natural tint and shape, and can even correct an uneven shape.  It’s designed to define and outline your lips, and correct faded outline. It’s also a great addition to enhance lip fillers. Traditionally, it is cosmetic tattooing. But this new trending technique  creates a natural blush look to the lips by softly implanting colour that does not create a heavy lip border or bright dark colour to lips so that we  give lips a natural tint.

How much does lip blush tattooing cost?

Lip blushing costs $650 for first session. There will also be ‘touch up’ costs.

It might be tempting to go for cheaper options, but remember that lip blushing is a semi-permanent invasive cosmetic procedure requiring technical skills, quality products and a good eye for detail.  All our treatments are performed with a medical grade micro implantation devise and not a tattoo gun, which is less traumatic to skin and does not remove upper layer .Our cosmetic nurse has been performing these treatments since the 90’s, provides sterile equipment and TGA (Therapeutic Goods Act) approved pigments and accessories. This comes with a cost but it should also give you confidence.

How long does lip blushing last?

Between 2 and 5 years, depending on colour, age, skin quality and how many touch up sessions you have.

Do lip blush tattoos hurt?

Yes, you will feel some discomfort but our nurse will numb the area.

How long does lip blushing take?

A lip tattoo session takes about 2 hours.

How long does it take for lip tint tattooing to heal?

It takes around 5 to 10 days for the lips heal. Be aware that the colour will vary quite a lot during the healing process before reaching the final desired colour.

DO’S AND DON’TS BEFORE A LIP BLUSHING APPOINTMENT

DO: Bring pictures/lipsticks with you to make the right colour selection. Take preventative cold sore medication if you are prone to cold sores. Our nurse will further advise you.
DON’T: Consume alcohol, caffeine, fish oil, Vitamin E, aspirin and ibuprofen for 2-3 days prior to appointment as they cause the blood to thin and will result of more bleeding during the procedure.

DO’S AND DON’TS AFTER A LIP BLUSH TATTOO SESSION-

DO: Use a lot of lip balm to keep your lips moisturized.
DON’T: Pick your scabs. Never! Also, avoid sun exposure, swimming, make up products.
